The Estill Reading Club, organized in the 1920’s, was the genesis for the Estill Public Library.  The original library was built in 1934 on land donated by Mayor W.W. Baker, Sr.  In March 1941, Allendale, Hampton and Barnwell Counties formed the 1st multi-county regional library system in South Carolina with the assistance of the Workers Progress Administration (W.P.A.).  In October 1947, Jasper County joined to form the Allendale, Hampton, Jasper Regional Library System.

Our hours now are Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
